Our product solves two problems or needs commonly faced by assistance dog owners:
Use Case 1. Highly visible assistance dog status, and for access challenges:
On the first of the two Hi-Viz yellow cards, the front has a clear indication of assistance dog status. The name of the owner and their dog, and photo of the owner’s assistance dog makes the card specific to the dog and owner. Additionally, a visually prominent “Please don’t pet me, I’m working”. At the bottom, a text caption reading “Important, please see over” completes the card front.
The reverse side contains an access challenge statement for the owner to present to any business, stating “Business owner please kindly note: There is no legal requirement to provide proof for an assistance dog. It IS however legally required that access is granted to all assistance dogs, per the UK equality act 2010.” With a QR code and website link to provide the challenger with more official information, for example via their mobile phone, when required.
Use Case 2. In Case of Emergency:
The second card holds the owner’s emergency information. The front of this second card lists the owners full name and date of birth, and two key contacts. On the reverse, any conditions and medications needed to be known, with an area for “Extra notes” to be entered (for example “do not separate dog from owner” or any other vital information. This gives the owner reassurance that in emergencies this data can be clearly provided non-verbally and quickly.
The two cards are designed to sit together inside a card holder with the two yellow sides visible, with personal data and access challenge statements available when required.
